Note: A base line item must be added to the scope of work before its alternative line item can be selected and added. 

Bidders are not required to submit a bid for alternative line items.

 

1.   Click the View/Edit link to the right of the section name field.

2.   Select Alternate from the list in the Modify column. (See Screen Shot)

 

 

3.   Click the “+” icon to expand the Section Category.

 

Note: The Subcategory or Section list will automatically populate with the appropriate section items based on the selected Subcategory.

 

4.   Click on a category name under the Subcategory Category.

5.   Enter your estimate for Labor per unit (if applicable) in the Estimated Unit Price, Labor field for that unit code and press the tab key one time.

Enter your estimate for Material per unit (if applicable) in the Estimated Unit Price, Material field for that unit code and press the tab key one time.

   -or-

Enter your estimate for Unit Price (if applicable) in the Estimated Unit Price field for that unit code and press the tab key one time.

6.   The shaded columns to the right (Extended Unit Price Labor and Materials, Extended Price Labor and Materials) will automatically calculate based on the unit prices that have been input for labor and materials.

7.   Click the Save button.

8.   Click the Back to Define Scope of Work link at the bottom of the page.
