ENTERING OPTIONAL LINE ITEMS

Note:  Bidders are not required to submit a bid on optional line items.

All optional line items will be placed in the Ungrouped Line Items section until they are defined within an optional line item group.

 

1.   In the Specifications area of the Define Scope of Work page, click the “+” icon to expand the list of categories under any Subcategory.  (See Screen Shot)

 

2.   Select a Subcategory from the list in the center of the screen.

 

Note: The Subcategory list will automatically populate with the appropriate subcategory or section items based on the selected Subcategory.

A search feature is available; please refer to the section SEARCHING CONTRACT LINE ITEMS for more information.

A print feature is available; please refer to the section PRINTING CONTRACT LINE ITEMS for more information.

 

3.   Select a Section from the list under the Subcategory.

4.   Click the Create Optional Line Item button to the right of the Subcategory field.

5.   Enter estimate for Labor per unit (if applicable) in the Estimated Unit Price, Labor field for that unit code and press the tab key one time.

6.   Enter your estimate for Material per unit (if applicable) in the Estimated Unit Price, Material field for that unit code and press the tab key one time.

Enter your estimate for Unit Price (if applicable) in the Estimated Unit Price field for that unit code and press the tab key one time.

7.   The shaded columns to the right (Extended Unit Price Labor and Materials, Extended Price Labor and Materials) will automatically calculate based on the unit prices that have been input for labor and materials.

8.   Click the Save button.
