Note: The New and
Adjusted Potential Change Items are displayed in separate tables.
For Adjusted Line Items, the previous quantity and unit price values are
displayed along with the Quantity Adjustment and Price Adjustment.
These values maybe positive or negative depending on the previous adjustment to
quantity or price. If no quantity or price has changed, the field(s) will
display, ‘N/A’.
1. On the Proposed Change Order page, click the Adjust Existing Line Item button.
2. Click the Edit
button to the right of the Current Work Order Specification Subcategory
name.
Note: The Total Quantity and Pricing fields for each unit code are pre-populated with the selected contractor’s bid (for public or private contracts) or contractor’s contract pricing (for sole source contracts).
3. For a Quantity
Adjustment, enter the adjustment amount using a positive or negative number
in the Quantity Adjustment field. The Total Quantity field will not
change at this time. The Adjustment Total field will reflect the total dollar
amount of the quantity change (See screen shot).
For a Price
Adjustment, enter the adjustment as the difference between the old price and
the new price in the Price Adjustment field. The Adjustment Total field
will reflect the total amount of the price change (See screen shot).
Note: If quantities for a line item have been placed and submitted on an Inspector Field Report (IFR), then the unit price is no longer editable via a change order and the Price Adjustment field will display “N/A”. In this case, if the unit price changes for an existing line item, then the a new line item to the contract with the line item’s new unit price must be added. You may also change the Account Code if necessary for an existing line item as part of a change order.
4. Click the Save button.
