CREATING A CHANGE ORDER

Prerequisite(s):    The awarded contractor must have verified the initial base work order.

 

1.   From your homepage, click the Contract Name link in the Contract Name column of the Contract List.

2.   Hover your mouse over the Contract Management link on the menu bar.

3.   Click the Manage Work Orders sub-link from the menu bar.

4.   Click the Create Change Order button.

5.   Enter a change order name in the provided text field.

 

Note: A default change order name is provided. If you choose to use the default change order name, skip Step 5 and go to Step 6.

 

6.   Enter a description for the change order in the provided text field.

7.   Click the Create button.

 

Note: Click the Cancel button to return to the Manage Work Orders page.

 

8.   To add comments to the change order, click the Add Comment button.

9.   Enter the comments for the change order in the Additional Comment textbox and click the Save button.

 

Note: Click the Cancel button to return to the Edit Change Order page. The user may provide as many comments as needed to the change order.

 

10.  Select the appropriate radio button and date to change the contract’s completion date.

11.  Click the Calendar link for the ‘Change Order Effective Date’ field. 

12.  Click a date from the calendar pop-up.

13.  Select a time from the provided drop-down menus for the ‘Change Order Effective Date’.

 

Note: Change Order Effective Date and End Date times are provided in 30-minute increments.

 

14.  Enter the Number of Days that the contract will last and click Calculate End Date.

      - or -

Click the Calendar link for the ‘End Date’ field.  Click a date from the calendar pop-up.

15.  Select a time from the provided drop-down menus for the ‘End Date’.

16.  Click the Save button to save any changes made to the Change Order.
